Q. What happens if the job takes longer than planned?

A. Your helper may have another job to go on to (unless you have a fulltime live-in helper), so try to estimate what you would like done and how long it will take. If it is a major task, perhaps your helper can come back specially to do it, when she has enough time available.

Q. I am not happy about having someone else in my home, as I have prided myself on keeping my house clean and tidy all my life. How can I ensure that it is still kept nice when I find it difficult to do myself?

A. We understand that it is upsetting to have to ask someone else to do the things that are very important to you.  We suggest that you start with the things that matter most to you and be very clear to us about how you want them done.  If we meet your high standards, we hope you will feel able to trust us to do some of the other tasks that you find difficult.
