How we help – live in and homecare support with wellbeing and medical health in Hampshire, Sussex and Surrey
Well-being
Q. I am rather frail at the moment, and feel that I need someone who
I trust close to me and making sure that I am all right
A. This is exactly what our helpers do all the time, either at each visit, or continually if you have a live-in. They are trained to be aware of any
changes in your health and to respond immediately, if they feel that things
are wrong, either by contacting your doctor, or if it is less urgent, by getting
advice from their manager.
Q. I don’t always remember what to tell my doctor when I have not been feeling
very well. Can my helper come and remind me how I have been over the
last couple of weeks?
A.Your helper can be there, if you wish, to support you in any medical discussion.
She will have been jotting down any changes in how you are in the visit record that
stays in your house, and which we will explain when we first meet you. It is a useful
reminder for you if you need information about how you have been feeling.
