How we help – providing respite care or short stay help by live in or homecare support across Hampshire, Sussex and Surrey
Giving your family carer a break
Q. My daughter looks after me, but she is going away on a holiday in the summer.
Can you provide a helper to look after me while she is away?
A. We can easily arrange for someone to be there while your daughter is away. If you like the helper and the arrangement works well, we can try to make sure
that the same helper is available whenever you need someone to cover for the
person who usually looks after you. This can be a helper who comes daily,
or just a couple of times, or lives-in full time while she is away.
Q. I look after my husband who is rather frail, but I am finding it more difficult to do it all
on my own. Can you provide a helper to give me a hand?
A. We often help people who are looking after their partners (or other family members). It is very important to fit in with what you do and how you live, so we will try very hard to
provide you both with someone you like, and who does things in the way you want.
