Q. Can my helper take me out to the shops? Can they drive?  Do I need my own car or to get a taxi?

A. Most helpers (but not live in staff) have their own cars and can take you where you want to go.  There will be a charge to cover the extra costs of using their car, above the usual visit charge.  Live in staff can usually drive, but you would need your own car for them to use, and also to arrange for them to be on the insurance policy for the vehicle.

Q. I want to go out to the theatre, but have no-one to take me.  Can I ask my helper to take me, and accompany me there?

A. Of course.  We aim to make your life as full and as fun as possible.  If there are things that mean a lot to you, then please ask your helper to help you enjoy them.  Our customers have sometimes asked their helpers to accompany them on holidays abroad in the past, which has been a great success.
